MSDE organizes a workshop with SOs to expand Japan Operations

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship organized a brainstorming workshop with Sending Organizations (SOs) to promote knowledge sharing and facilitate dialogue on skilled candidate mobility to Japan under the Technical Intern Training Program and Specified Skill Workers programs. The workshop was chaired by Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, MSDE. Additional Secretary, MEA, Shri Anurag Bhushan also participated in the workshop along with other senior ministry officials.

The workshop aimed to address challenges faced by Sending Organizations and students, share experiences, explore effective monitoring practices, and engage in solution-driven discussions. Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “I believe the next steps will further solidify MSDE’s efforts towards training the segment of the Indian workforce as per the demands of the job market in Japan.”

The National Skill Development Corporation International (NSDCI) is collaborating with MSDE, MEA, and other ministries to create a framework linking MSDE, MEA, and other ministries. The goal is to enhance workforce mobility between Japan and India by expanding learning facilities, incentivizing Skill India International Centres, and aggregating demand for skill training in respective sectors.
