Motorola has added a new tablet to its Indian portfolio with the launch of the Moto Pad 70. The device comes with a large 12.1-inch 2.5K display, a 10,200mAh battery and a Moto Pen included in the retail box. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 processor and is available with up to 256GB of storage.
The Moto Pad 70 is priced at Rs. 33,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The higher 8GB + 256GB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 36,999. Sales will begin in India on August 15 through Flipkart and Motorola’s India website. For now, the tablet is available in a single Pantone Sea Angel colour.
Motorola ships the tablet with Android 16 out of the box. The company has confirmed software support up to Android 18 and security updates through 2030.
The tablet’s 12.1-inch IPS screen offers a 2.5K resolution of 1,600×2,560 pixels and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It covers 96 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space and delivers 600 nits of typical brightness. Under HBM mode, the display can reach up to 800 nits.
The screen also carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for flicker-free viewing and reduced blue-light emissions.
At the heart of the Moto Pad 70 is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Both configurations come with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2, with a microSD card slot allowing users to add up to 2TB of extra storage.
For cameras, Motorola has fitted the tablet with a 13-megapixel sensor at the rear and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The audio setup includes four speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a dual-microphone arrangement.
The Moto Pad 70 also brings several AI-based features. Motorola has included Gemini, along with tools such as Circle to Search, AI Summary and AI Continue Writing.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. The tablet has a USB Type-C port and a pogo-pin connector, along with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and Hall sensor. It also carries an IP52 rating for protection against dust and dripping water.
Battery life is another major selling point, with the Moto Pad 70 featuring a 10,200mAh battery. The tablet supports 68W wired charging, and the compatible power adapter is included in the box.
Motorola is also bundling its Moto Pen, which offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection. The company is additionally including the Moto Folio Keyboard, giving customers both accessories without the need to buy them separately. The Moto Pad 70 measures 278.8 x 181.05 x 6.49mm and weighs around 530 grams. With its large high-resolution display, sizeable battery, fast charging and bundled accessories, the tablet is positioned as a feature-packed option in its segment.
