More than 2.52 lakh people have been affected in 16 districts in fresh floods caused by heavy rains in Assam.

Notably, Ten wards of Dibrugarh in Upper Assam were inundated by rain waters causing panic among general public to commute as waterlogging covered most of the areas.
Meanhwile, in a press notification, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that in Assam and Meghalaya rainfall is expected at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy and  extremely heavy falls till June 30.
