Montra Electric expands EVIATOR range with two new electric truck variants

Montra Electric has expanded its electric small commercial vehicle (eSCV) portfolio with the launch of two new variants — EVIATOR 350 (32kWh) and EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh) — aimed at strengthening its presence in India’s growing electric logistics segment. The company said the new models were developed using operational data gathered from over 600 EVIATOR vehicles that have collectively covered more than 65 lakh kilometres across different logistics applications. The EVIATOR 350 with a 32kWh battery has been designed for short-distance urban logistics and can handle daily runs of up to 140 km. Meanwhile, the EVIATOR 350L+ with a 50kWh battery targets long-distance intercity transport with a certified range of over 300 km and a real-world range exceeding 200 km. The company said the larger battery variant would also support specialised applications such as reefer and municipal services.

Managing Director Jalaj Gupta said the company was shifting towards a duty-cycle-driven strategy to improve uptime, efficiency and operational savings for fleet operators. CEO Saju Nair said the expanded range would help businesses adopt EVs across varied logistics requirements.

In Kolkata, the launch could benefit logistics operators handling high-volume intra-city deliveries and regional cargo movement. With increasing demand for cleaner transport solutions in Kolkata and nearby industrial corridors, fleet owners may see the new variants as a cost-effective alternative for last-mile and intercity operations. The new EVIATOR variants are priced at an introductory ₹14.58 lakh for the 32kWh model and ₹16.86 lakh for the 50kWh version.
