Military Chopper crashes in Arunachal Pradesh

A military chopper crashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district on Friday. As per the reports, the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed near Migging village. As quoted by news agency ANI, Upper Siang Senior Police Officer Jummar Basar said the accident site is not connected by any road but a rescue team has been sent there.
The chopper carrying the military personnel was on a regular flight after taking off from Likabali this morning. The accident happened at 10.43 am.

As there is no motorable road to the village except a suspension bridge, three joint teams of the Army and the Air Force are engaged in the rescue operation with one Mi-17 and two Dhruva helicopters. Local villagers are also said to be involved in the rescue operation.
In this October this is the second time helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier this month, a pilot died and several others were injured after a Cheetah helicopter crashed near Tawang.
