MG Windsor crosses 50,000 sales in record 400 days, sets benchmark in India’s EV market

JSW MG Motor India announced that its MG Windsor has surpassed 50,000 units sold in just under 400 days, becoming India’s first four-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) to achieve this milestone. Averaging five sales per hour, the Windsor has quickly emerged as a leader in the country’s 4W-EV segment. The rapid adoption reflects strong customer preference for MG Windsor’s blend of style, performance, and innovative technology. “Achieving 50,000 sales in record time marks a landmark moment in India’s EV journey,” said Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India. He added that the company remains committed to advancing New Energy Vehicles while delivering a superior ownership experience.

Beyond metros, the MG Windsor has gained traction in non-metro cities, demonstrating the growing acceptance of sustainable mobility solutions across India. The launch of the limited-edition MG Windsor Inspire, unveiled by Minister Nitin Gadkari, further reinforces the brand’s focus on premium offerings.

MG Windsor has seen a steady rise in bookings, particularly among young professionals and families seeking a stylish, eco-friendly vehicle. Dealers report that test drives at local showrooms have surged, reflecting the city’s increasing interest in EV adoption and MG’s strong brand appeal. Offered at a starting BaaS price of INR 9.99L + INR 3.9/km, the Windsor combines sedan-like comfort with SUV versatility, powered by 136ps and 200Nm torque, making it a compelling option for discerning buyers nationwide.
