JSW MG Motor India has launched the much-anticipated MG MAJESTOR, calling it India’s first D+ SUV, with prices starting at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 4×2 automatic top trim. The 4×4 automatic top trim has been priced at Rs 44.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The MG MAJESTOR will be available in both six- and seven-seater configurations for the 4×2 variant, while the 4×4 version will be offered only as a seven-seater. The SUV is powered by a twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 215.5 PS power and 478.5 Nm torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
MG said the SUV comes with advanced off-road capabilities, including a 4WD system with 10 off-road modes, Crawl Control Mode, and first-in-segment triple differential locks. The vehicle also offers 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water-wading capability. The company highlighted the MAJESTOR’s dimensions, claiming it is the longest, widest and tallest in its segment with a 2950 mm wheelbase. Key features include Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massaging front seats, dual 12.3-inch displays, 12 JBL speakers, three-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers and more than 75 connected car features.
Commenting on the launch, Managing Director Anurag Mehrotra said the MAJESTOR combines premium comfort, advanced technology and superior off-road capability. MG is also offering an assured buyback program with up to 70 per cent value along with warranty and roadside assistance benefits under its MG Shield ownership package.
