Meta collaborates with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

Meta announced a three-year partnership with the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to empower students, educators, and entrepreneurs across India. The partnership brings together Meta’s work across education and skilling, mapping the journey of India’s students from the classroom to the workforce.

Meta has signed three Letters of Intent (LoI) with various organizations, including the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), to promote entrepreneurship and skill development in India. These partnerships aim to enhance training, consultancy, and research in the field. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said “Guided by the tenets of NEP, META’s partnerships with NIESBUD, CBSE & AICTE will catalyse infinite possibilities for equipping our population with critical digital skills and empowering micro entrepreneurs and small businesses”.

Meta will offer digital marketing training to one million entrepreneurs over three years, utilizing Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram in seven regional languages. The training will focus on 50 impact stories, with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Confederation of All India Traders as implementation partners.
