Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited issued a shut down notice in Shillong and Upper Shillong areas on April 27

Shillong, April 26: Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MPDCL) on Friday issued a notification stating that there will be no power supply at 132/33 KV Mawlai Grid Sub Station and 33/11 KV Sub Stations due to preventive maintenance work. On April 27 from 10 am to 4 pm in various areas.

The affected areas include the whole of Mawprem, Lower Mawbah, Upper Mawbah, TB Hospital, Lummawbah, Lewduh, Mission and surrounding areas, Wahthabru, Sunny Hill, Lumdiengiri, Quallapaty, part of Jaiaw Langsnging, Garikhana, MES, Upper Lachumiere, Lama Villa, part of Lower Lachumiere, part of Laban, the whole of Oxford, Keating Road, part of Police Bazar, part of Umsohsun, the whole of Malki, Motinagar, Lumpyngngad, Dhankheti, Cleave Colony, Risa Colony, Lumsohphoh, parts of Laitumkhah, parts of Shillong Jowai Road from Malki Point up to Fire Brigade junction, the whole of Nongkseh and Umlyngka.

However, MPDCL informed that if the work is completed quickly then the power supply can be restored even before the above time.
