The Meghalaya Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and The MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity Project organized a State Media Sensitization Workshop on Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0). The workshop, attended by Ramkumar S, IAS Mission Director NHM and Dr. Pradeep Haldar, Senior Strategic Advisor, highlighted the importance of vaccinating eligible children and enhancing immunity. The event involved prominent media representatives, health officials, and community stakeholders, united in supporting the success of IMI 5.0.
IMI 5.0 focuses on limited vaccination coverage, targeting children and pregnant women excluded from routine vaccinations. The state trains unvaccinated individuals, prioritizing children aged 0-5 years who have not received vaccines. The initiative aims to provide life-saving vaccinations and contribute to nationwide Measles & Rubella elimination.
