In partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the National Center for Good Governance (NCGG) completed its flagship Capacity Building Program (CBP) for the 58th batch of Bangladesh Civil Servants, in which 45 officers participated. The program focused on designing and executing effective public policies and programs to improve the quality of life of citizens.
In his concluding remarks, Bharat Lal, Director General, NCGG urged the officers to be responsive to the needs of the people and stressed on the vital importance of redressal of public grievances in a time-bound manner. He appreciated the developmental partnership between the two countries. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ and urged the civil servants to bridge the gap between the citizens and the government.
In collaboration with the MEA and the Indian Mission in Dhaka, NCGG has trained approximately 2,055 civil servants from Bangladesh. In partnership with the Ministry, NCGG has taken up the responsibility of building the capacity of civil servants from developing countries. So far it has provided training to civil servants from 15 countries. In this event, NCGG shared various initiatives taken in the country such as changing paradigm of governance, rejuvenation of rivers with special reference to Ganga, leveraging digital technology, changing India’s rural landscape, passport services, etc.
