54% of first-year college students feel anxious since starting college, and 60% don’t seek professional help. Maybelline New York and The Jed Foundation have partnered to create Brave Talk, a free expert-developed training to help individuals handle difficult conversations about mental health with friends or peers. This initiative aims to promote open conversation and ensure support is accessible to all.
The launch of a new product featured influential mental health advocates, including Ananya Birla, Anshula Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, and Nikhil Taneja, who participated in a panel discussion moderated by Varun Duggirala. The event also offered workshops on arts, dance, and listening circles, emphasizing their role in addressing mental health issues.
Maybelline New York’s Brand Ambassador, Ananya Birla, will introduce ‘The Brave Together’ track, a tribute to mental health, highlighting her dedication to raising awareness and encouraging open discussions about mental well-being. Ananya Birla said, “Through this track, I aim to put a spotlight on the pressing issue of mental health and contribute to the vital conversation surrounding it.”
