Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who is enjoying the success of her latest work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, recently revealed about the time early in her career when she was asking to pose in a two-piece bikini by a well-known photographer. Although the actress agreed that she often wears a bikini while swimming, she did not consider it necessary for the photoshoot and refused to wear it.
In an interview, he recalled the incident, “Early in my career I was asked to go and take pictures, and there was a very famous photographer there. I went with my mom, and in the beginning, the photographer said things like, ‘You’re the next superstar and this and that.’ She brought me a two-piece bikini and asked me to wear it. I told him, ‘Sir, when I go to the beach or go swimming I wear it, but if I have to come to the movies like this, then I don’t want it, and I am not wearing it”.
After learning about Manisha’s hesitation, the photographer refuses her. Recalling the same, Manisha said, ‘I told him that either you shoot me fully clothed, otherwise I…’ I remember he gave me a big dialogue. He said, ‘How to make a statue of someone who is shy of melting clay’. I have not forgotten this.
During the conversation, Manisha admitted that some people had this mentality in the 90s. She also recalled that the same photographer had photographed her later in her career, when she had become a big star, and he immediately agreed with her, saying, “Oh, I knew you were going to be a big star.” You are going.” Although Manisha was not happy with his behavior, she also understood where he was coming from, “Not to be mean to that person, but such was his level of discretion. Such was their exposure, that’s why they behaved like that,” he added.
