Manipal Hospitals showcases advanced neuro, blood and cardiac care at ‘Anveshana’ session in Howrah

Manipal Hospitals Group, one of Eastern India’s largest healthcare providers, on Tuesday highlighted its advanced capabilities in neurosurgery, haematology and cardiac care during an interactive awareness programme held in Howrah. The session, organised by Manipal Hospital EM Bypass under its flagship initiative ‘Anveshana – Medical Education for Media’, focused on the rising incidence of neurological, blood-related and cardiac conditions in the region.

Senior specialists from the hospital shared insights on changing disease patterns, lifestyle-linked risk factors, the importance of early diagnosis and recent medical advancements. Dr L N Tripathy spoke on minimally invasive neurosurgery for brain tumours, stroke-related complications, spinal disorders and traumatic brain injuries. DrRajib De highlighted protocol-driven haematology, haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplant services, while DrAbhishek Roy outlined advanced interventional cardiology procedures such as complex angioplasties and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).

In Howrah, the hospital noted growing demand from the district’s densely populated and industrial areas for specialised, high-end care. Better connectivity to Kolkata’s EM Bypass has made advanced treatments more accessible to Howrah patients, reducing treatment delays and outstation travel. The programme concluded with discussions on preventive care, early symptom recognition and the launch of a Media Privilege Card to strengthen healthcare communication.
