Man Jumps into Brahmaputra River from Kumar Bhaskar Varma Bridge

On Sunday, a guy leaped from the recently opened Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu in Guwahati. It is thought that he perished in the Brahmaputra River. Rabil Ali, a native of Keotkuchi village in the Barpeta district, has been identified as the man. Ali had been employed as a laborer when the bridge connecting the city’s north and south banks over the Brahmaputra River was being built. Ali leaped from the bridge abruptly and without apparent provocation, according to his coworkers who were present at the scene. Residents and other employees are shocked by the incident. Personnel from the North Guwahati police outpost raced to the scene and began an inquiry as soon as the incident was reported. In order to piece together the events, police started questioning people who were present at the scene, including the deceased’s coworkers, Saidul Ali, Rabiul Ali, and Faruq Ali. Police believe it to be a suicide attempt.
