Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) has opened a cutting-edge dealership in Lakhimpur, Assam, following a 46% CAGR volume growth over the past three years. The facility features four service bays, capable of servicing over ten vehicles daily, and offers driver lodging, 24-hour breakdown assistance, and AdBlue—an additive that enhances diesel engine performance by reducing emissions.
Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head of MTBD, highlighted the division’s No. 3 position in the Indian commercial vehicle market and discussed the launch of new dealerships and vehicle ranges like BLAZO X, FURIO, and CRUZIO. These models boast a “Best-in-Class Mileage Guarantee” and a new mileage promise for BS6 OBD II trucks: “Get More Mileage or Give The Truck Back.”
Mr. Sateesh Machiraju, Head of Sales & Customer Care, noted the advancements in fuel efficiency and the integration of the iMAXX telematics solution for real-time monitoring. MTBD also guarantees vehicle uptime with a promise to return trucks to the road within 48 hours, or compensate customers Rs. 1,000 per day, and a turnaround in 36 hours at the workshop, with a Rs. 3,000 daily penalty for delays.
