Mahindra ramps up production of OJA 2130 Tractor series ahead of farm season demand

Mahindra Tractors, part of the Mahindra Group, has announced that it is ramping up production of its OJA 2130 tractor series in anticipation of higher demand during the upcoming agricultural season. The new range, positioned in the 30 HP category, includes the OJA 2130 – PROJA, OJA 2130 with larger 9.5×18 tyres, and the OJA 2130 Narrow Track with Forward and Reverse shuttle. The OJA 2130 series is designed to improve productivity, comfort and cost-effectiveness for farmers. The tractors come with standard 4WD, a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio and compatibility with a wide range of implements, making them suitable for horticulture, vineyards, intercultural farming, sugarcane and cotton cultivation. The tractors are powered by a three-cylinder DI engine producing 83.7 Nm torque and are equipped with features such as electronic draft and depth control (EDDC), 950 kg lift capacity, high ground clearance and a tight turning radius for better field operations.

The PROJA variant includes FR shuttle for better manoeuvrability, creeper mode for precision farming and powerful projector lamps for round-the-clock operations. The narrow track variant is designed for crops with tight row spacing such as banana, cotton and sugarcane, while the large-tyre model offers improved stability and traction across varied terrains. Parikshit Ghosh, Head – Sales, Marketing and National Business Operations at Mahindra Tractors, said the company is preparing for rising demand from farmers seeking advanced technology and higher efficiency in the 21–30 HP tractor segment.

In Krishnanagar there is a  growing interest in compact and versatile tractors ahead of the farming season. Dealers believe models that offer fuel efficiency, manoeuvrability and multi-crop compatibility could see strong demand among farmers in the region.

The OJA tractor range is backed by Mahindra’s six-year warranty and is available across the company’s nationwide dealership network. Mahindra Tractors remains India’s largest tractor manufacturer and sells its products in more than 50 countries worldwide.
