India’s startup ecosystem continues to surge, with LinkedIn unveiling its 2025 Top Startups India List, spotlighting the country’s most promising emerging companies. Based on data tracking employee growth, engagement, job interest, and talent attraction, the list reveals that artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, and quick commerce are driving India’s startup momentum.
Quick-commerce unicorn Zepto retained the top position for the third consecutive year, followed by Lucidity, which is transforming enterprise cloud storage, and Swish, a 10-minute food delivery platform from Bengaluru. The list underscores how technology depth, operational precision, and agility have become vital to scaling in India’s evolving startup scene.
In Kolkata, startup enthusiasts and professionals view the list as a roadmap to opportunity. Recruitment experts say the city’s growing tech community is increasingly engaging with AI-driven and fintech ventures, with several firms expanding eastward to tap Kolkata’s educated workforce and rising consumer base. Local jobseekers are tracking these startups closely on LinkedIn for emerging roles in product, analytics, and customer success. LinkedIn’s Career Expert Nirajita Banerjee noted, “This year’s list is a map of momentum. Younger companies are scaling faster, specialised models are earning trust, and regional hubs like Pune and Hyderabad are breaking through.”
