The Limca Book of Records features several remarkable women who have achieved great success in various sports. Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee won the first Indian women’s doubles pair in table tennis at the Asian Games 2022, winning a bronze medal. Kiran Baliyan won India’s first shot put medal, while Jyothi Yarraji became the first Indian 100m hurdler to win a medal. CA Bhavani Devi became the first Indian fencer to win a medal at the Asian Fencing Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2023.
The Indian Women’s kabaddi team won the gold medalthrice in their discipline at the Asian Games, defeating Chinese Taipei in the final. Sukraty Saxena, Rupam Devedi, Swaranjali Saxena, and Apala Rajvanshi achieved the fastest Golden Quadrilateral expedition in a four-wheeler, covering 6,263 km in 6 days, 14 hours, and 5 minutes.
