Launch of the State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (SIHM) Tripura

The State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (SIHM) Tripura  is all set to be launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi on the 18th of  December in Agartala during his expected visit to the State. The SIHM is an initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.

The Primary objective of setting up the State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (SIHM) Tripura is to create awareness on tourism and tourism prospects.The institute shall work to create a pool of professionally competent manpower for various job roles across the Nation and beyond. The hospitality & tourism industry has undergone a sea change and there is a constant requirement of skilled professionals in reputed international and national brands working in the tourism and hospitality sector. India with its open market policy has also attracted several international giants to set shop in the country and there is a big gap between demand and supply as there is dearth of skilled manpower to fill such vacancies.

The SIHM where a diverse range of courses in the service sector will be made accessible to young aspirants.
