KOLKATAWOOD 2025, Eastern India’s first large-scale exhibition for woodworking, furniture, and mattress manufacturing, will be held from September 12–14, 2025 at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata. Organised by Nuernberg Messe India, the event extends the INDIAWOOD legacy, aiming to bring global innovation closer to Eastern India’s emerging growth hubs.
The exhibition will feature 150+ leading brands, showcasing the latest machinery, materials, and solutions. It will also include live demonstrations, B2B matchmaking, and skilling sessions, designed to connect industry players and fuel sectoral growth. According to Sonia Prashar, MD & Chairperson of Nuernberg Messe India, “Eastern India is no longer a peripheral market—it’s an emerging industrial hub with the potential to compete nationally.”
The event carries strong business relevance. With rising disposable incomes and rapid real estate expansion, demand for modular kitchens, ergonomic furniture, and quality sleep solutions has surged in the city. Retailers and suppliers see KOLKATAWOOD as a chance to build stronger supply chains and align with shifting consumer preferences, especially among young urban buyers. With real estate investments by Reliance Industries, Ambuja Neotia, and JSW Group, alongside national growth trends in the USD 23.9 billion Indian furniture market, KOLKATAWOOD 2025 is set to act as a catalyst for Eastern India’s industrial and lifestyle transformation.
