Deepika Padukone starred Besharam Rang’s left tails wagging in a sultry avatar. But the situation worsened when politicians raised objections over the saffron bikini allegedly hurting their sentiments. Amid widespread outrage, the Censor Board has demanded many changes in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan. A KGF Chapter 1 cast member responded to the controversy.
Several members, including Swara Bhaskar and Rahul Dholakia among others, have earlier come to the defense of Besharam Rang. We even saw Asha Parekh, Javed Akhtar reacting to the scandal. Shah Rukh Khan was confident that despite all the negativity, his film would be a success at the box office but it seems the criticism is not going to end anytime soon.
KGF Chapter 1 actor Anant Nag reacted to the Besharam Rang controversy and said, “Showing women like this is not part of our Indian culture. If the censor team had done their job, this wouldn’t have happened in the first place. Forget movies, watch OTT content, they show all kinds of nasty and offensive stuff. Everything is shown openly and there is no one to stop them.”
The KGF actor added, “Indian cinema should stop showing such kind of nudity in their cinemas. Showing something against our culture and tradition will definitely create conflict among people.”
Apparently, Ananth Nag is not satisfied with Besharam Rang of Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan.
