Kaushal Manthan 2025 charts roadmap for skilled Bharat; tribute paid to Pahalgam terror victims

In a solemn start to “Kaushal Manthan 2025”, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, led a two-minute silence in memory of the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The workshop, held at Kaushal Bhawan, brought together officials, industry leaders, and educators to forge a unified plan for skilling and entrepreneurship in India.

Themed “Collective Vision for a Skilled Bharat”, the workshop focused on aligning skilling efforts with market demand, embedding global training standards, and fostering entrepreneurship as a viable career option. Secretary MSDE, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, emphasized India’s demographic dividend and the need for convergence across institutions and lifelong learning.

Deliberations spanned long-term and short-term skilling strategies, boosting female enrolment, developing industry-aligned courses, and establishing entrepreneurial hubs at the district level. The integration of AI in vocational education, presented by Microsoft, added a tech-driven perspective to the skilling roadmap. In Guwahati, local skilling initiatives are gaining momentum with increasing participation in short-term training programs. Entrepreneurs in Guwahati markets are hopeful that district-level hubs and AI-driven skill development will unlock new business opportunities and enhance employability in the region. Insights from the event will shape India’s future-ready skill ecosystem.
