Kangana Ranaut lambasted ‘dumb representatives’ of Twitter for justifying the temporary restriction of her account. Her account was restricted after her now-deleted post against Amazon Prime Video series Tandav, in which she said it was ‘time to take (the makers’) heads off’ for hurting religious sentiments.
Tagging Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey, Kangana wrote, “Chacha @jack tell your dumb representatives taking head off is an idiom which means to scold. Hope you take action against those also who actually threaten and wish death upon our PM, HM , Sadhus and Brahmins almost every day. Shameless liars.”
Kangana’s controversial tweet on January 18 came at a time when FIRs have been lodged against makers of the nine-part political web series created and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. ‘Tandav’ features Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and Gauahar Khan in key roles.
Meanwhile, taking to Twitter earlier today, the actor wrote:
On Monday, Kangana had slammed ‘Tandav’, describing it as “Hindu phobic, atrocious and objectionable”.
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming projects are spy thriller ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda’. Didda was Queen of Kashmir who trounced Mehmood Ghaznavi twice in battle. In ‘Dhaakad’, which is said to be “India’s first female-led high octane spy thriller”, Kangana will play the role of Agent Agni.
She will also be seen in the films ‘Thalaivi’ and ‘Tejas’.
