JCI Guwahati held a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club on 2nd June. The Press Conference was Presided by JCI Guwahati President JC Sonia Sarda, Immediate Past President JC Neha Jain, along with Project Chairpersons JC Manoj Barjatya & JC Reena Barjatya, Project Advisors JC Rashmi Khatuwala, JC Deepak Bhajanka, Project coordinators JC Gunjan Saraf, JC Poonam Damani, JC Nisha Agarwal and Zone Officers, Past Zone Presidents & Members of JCI.
While Addressing the Press Conference JC Sonia Sarda, JC Manoj Barjatya, JC Rashmi Khatuwalainformed the reporters that: “JCI-Guwahati is going to organize Mega FREE Prosthetic hand distribution and Implant Program on 26th June 2022, 9AM to 5PM (Sunday) at Haryana Bhawan, Narayan Nagar, Guwahati in association with Rotary Club Jaipur Majesty.
The LN-4 Hand (Approx 400 gram) is manufactured by Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation (America) and is designed in such a way that it can be implanted on all age groups and on Males, Females or Children. The condition of implant is that 4 Inch (10 CM) of Arms below the elbow is required. These hands have 3 fixed and 2 moving figures, and enables the user to do Cycling, Study-Writing, home & Personal tasks, Etc.
This camp will be supervised by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) a Registered Prosthetist Group, a Team of 12 to 15 People from Jaipur.
