In creative and performing arts circles, Jubin Mitra is a popular name, and he the popularity by his talents. The conceptual Artist cum Editor and Music Composer Jubin Mitra was born on 9 June 1988 in Kolkata and also brought up there. He is a versatile creative person known for his amazing visual concept in Megh Boleche Jabo Jabo (2019), Silent Mercury (2021) and Music Composition in Meghe Meghe Unplugged (2020), Divine Emotion Instrumental (2021), Shey Je Bojhena (2021), Tumi Ki Swadhin (2021) and many more.
Jubin Mitra got his first opportunity as a Visual Artist in the documentary film ‘Tribute to Ali Akbar Khan’. In Kolkata, Jubin joined the Mamata Shankar Dance Company as Dancer and stayed very active in the group till he got his first break into the Movie ‘Friends- Bengali Movie’ (2009) as a 3D artist. He was appreciated a lot for his role in the recent work ‘Divine Emotion’, which also received nomination from “Lift-Offline” Film Festival.
Jubin Mitra’s first appearance in films was through a Tollywood film ‘Cross Connection’ and this was followed by ‘Flight of Fantasy’, where his Choreographic scenes were praised. He received recognition for his dance from many Indo-European concerts as a member of Mamata Shankar Dance Company. He prefers challenges and difficulties to be more creative even if the part is small. He has clear concept in design. He believes that the dance is the only element which actually helped him to become multi-active in different genre from music to songwriting and editing to visual development. So it’s a bridge between both the audio and video medium where he has his own production platform named ‘Jubinart’. Recently he completed the shootings of the music videos with some renowned singers from Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Some of his upcoming projects are ‘O Re Manus Re’, ‘Tor Chokhe’, ‘Tomar Chokhe’, “Dhoyasai Mon’, Ochena Sohor’ etc. Even during the ongoing pandemic situation his spirit towards creation has never stopped him under any circumstances.
