JSW MG Motor India has announced remarkable sales figures for October 2024, reporting a total of 7,045 units sold, marking a significant year-over-year growth of 31% compared to October 2023. This surge underscores the growing consumer preference for electric vehicles (EVs), as New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) accounted for an impressive 70% of total sales, the highest among all passenger car manufacturers in India.
A standout performer, the MG Windsor, the company’s first intelligent Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), debuted with 3,116 units sold in its inaugural month, securing its position as the top-selling passenger electric car for October 2024. This trend aligns with the increasing shift towards clean mobility solutions, particularly during the festive season when car purchases traditionally peak.
In Bhubaneswar, the enthusiasm for EVs mirrors national trends, with local consumers increasingly opting for environmentally friendly vehicles. As JSW MG Motor continues to share its sales data on the VAHAN portal, its commitment to transparency and sustainability remains clear, as reflected in a reported YoY growth of 34% (excluding Telangana). With these robust figures, the company is well-poised to lead the charge in India’s electric vehicle revolution.
