JLR India has reported three consecutive quarters of record sales growth, with the company selling 3,582 units and experiencing a YoY growth of 93% in the nine months ending 31 December 2023. The company’s Defender sales saw a 150% YoY increase, while Range Rover saw a 250% YoY increase.
The total order book grew by 92% compared to last year. In Q3 FY24, JLR India achieved 74% YoY growth, achieving retail sales of 1,226 units. The newly launched 24MY Range Rover Velar also saw a 183% YoY growth, significantly bolstering sales.
Mr. Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, said that the company’s progress in India has been characterized by consistent and substantial growth, with each quarter showing an impressive year-on-year surge of nearly 100%. The burgeoning order bank and continuous order intake signal a robust demand, underscoring promising future prospects. The eagerly awaited Range Rover BEV has generated significant interest among clients nationwide. With upcoming launches this quarter, JLR is poised to sustain its remarkable growth trajectory in India.
