Jayant Chaudhary launches ‘Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai’ campaign to boost digital skilling via SIDH

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Shri Jayant Chaudhary on Saturday launched a nationwide awareness campaign titled “Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai” to strengthen India’s digital skilling ecosystem. The campaign was unveiled on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and aims to expand participation in the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH).

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in to amplify the campaign’s outreach and encourage citizens to register on SIDH, which has already onboarded more than 1.5 crore candidates. Positioned as a key digital public infrastructure platform, SIDH integrates multiple government skilling initiatives and offers AI-enabled, mobile-first learning solutions. The platform provides industry-aligned courses, personalized learning recommendations, digitally verified credentials, QR-enabled digital CVs, Aadhaar-based eKYC registration and access in over 21 Indian languages.

Addressing the launch, Chaudhary said SIDH builds on India’s digital strengths such as India Stack and aims to empower citizens to upskill and reskill in an era shaped by AI and automation. In Guwahati, training institutes and education consultants say digital skilling demand is rising among youth and working professionals. Local stakeholders believe the campaign could drive higher registrations from Assam and the Northeast, especially as awareness spreads through digital and QR-enabled outreach.
