Indriya unveils Padmika festive collection inspired by Goddess Lakshmi

Indriya, the jewellery brand from the Aditya Birla Group, has unveiled Padmika, a new 22kt gold festive collection inspired by Goddess Lakshmi and the symbolism of prosperity, auspiciousness and new beginnings.

The collection combines traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary designs, drawing inspiration from the story of Lakshmi’s emergence during the Samudra Manthan. Its design vocabulary incorporates auspicious motifs including the lotus, Goddess Lakshmi, Gaja, Shankh, Shriphal, Kalash and Kasu coins.

A key feature of Padmika is the revival of Gulabi Meenakari, a traditional pink enamel craft, alongside accents of Blue Meenakari. Pink Banarasi Meenakari is used across lotus petals and ornamental motifs, adding colour and a contemporary dimension to the yellow gold designs.

The collection includes necklaces, earrings, bangles and other jewellery forms, reflecting the season’s preference for radiant yellow gold. It also draws on traditional techniques including Nakkashi, Kundan Jadai, Veni Taar, Hansli, Rawa and Chandrak.

SandeepKohli, CEO, Indriya, said Padmika was created to capture the spirit of festive celebrations while preserving India’s jewellery heritage through contemporary design.

Abhishek Rastogi, Head of Design, Indriya, said the collection reinterprets traditional symbols associated with Lakshmi as contemporary heirlooms for a new generation.

Launched in July 2024, Indriya offers diamonds, precious gemstones and artisanal gold jewellery for weddings and other occasions.
