Indriya unveils ‘Orizon’ with Amit Aggarwal, redefines Polki at Lakmé Fashion Week

Indriya, Aditya Birla Jewellery, showcased its latest collection ‘Orizon’ at Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI, presenting a contemporary interpretation of traditional Polki craftsmanship. In collaboration with designer Amit Aggarwal, the showcase blended heritage jewellery with sculptural couture, offering a modern take on Indian design rooted in cultural legacy. The presentation featured Bollywood actor Disha Patani as the showstopper, adorned in Indriya’s jewellery paired with Aggarwal’s signature Banarasi weaves and mirror work. The runway unfolded as a visual narrative of light and form, transitioning from minimal diamond pieces to bold Polki and gold creations, highlighting evolving craftsmanship and modern identity.

A key highlight was Indriya’s innovative “samosa dart setting,” enhancing light reflection in Polki stones. The collection also featured rare gemstones such as tourmalines, tanzanites, sapphires, rubies, and South Sea pearls, combined with techniques like wall-prong and corner-bezel settings to create a lightweight, fluid aesthetic. Indriya CEO Sandeep Kohli said the platform allowed the brand to redefine heritage jewellery for a new era, while Amit Aggarwal highlighted the collaboration as a narrative of transformation and innovation.

Kolkata, known for its deep-rooted affinity for traditional gold and Polki jewellery, is witnessing a shift toward contemporary, lightweight designs. Collections like ‘Orizon’ are expected to resonate strongly with younger buyers in the city, who seek a blend of heritage craftsmanship and modern aesthetics for weddings and lifestyle occasions.
