Indian Delegation to Attend World Defence Show 2026 Under RRM’s Leadership

Shri Sanjay Seth, the Raksha Rajya Mantri (RRM) of India, is set to lead a prominent Indian delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the third World Defense Show (WDS) scheduled for February 8–9, 2026. This international show aims to host over 700 exhibitors and around 400 official delegations from various countries, marking a critical event in global defense. A highlight of India’s participation will be the inauguration of the first-ever India Pavilion, covering an area of 400 square meters. This pavilion will display India’s growing capabilities in defense manufacturing and technology, featuring key public sector enterprises such as Armored Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL), Munitions India Limited (MIL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), India Optel Limited (IOL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and Yantra India Limited (YIL). These organizations will showcase an array of defense products, including tanks, artillery systems, missiles, ammunition, and radar technology.

Additionally, the RRM is expected to engage in a bilateral meeting with his Saudi Arabian counterpart to foster defense cooperation and explore industrial collaboration opportunities between the two nations. The biennial WDS, hosted by Saudi Arabia, is deemed strategically significant for the Indian defense sector, offering a platform for India to demonstrate its advancements in indigenization, cutting-edge technologies, and manufacturing prowess while enhancing international partnerships within the global defense landscape.
