Injury has been a major issue for the Indian cricket team as India continues to lose its key players with every match playing in Australia this season. Australian head coach Justin Langer blames IPL saying “… I can’t help but think that the IPL third year really probably wasn’t ideal timing for anyone, certainly for such a big series like this”
India reached Australia without Rohit Sharma. And the unavailability of Virat Kohli after the first test defeat already led team India at back foot. India is playing without Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja at the final test and it will create additional pressure on other bowlers to fill the gap of team’s two most important strike bowlers.
As the series is at 1-1, the 4th match will be a series decider. Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is confident about India’s win as he stated in an Interview “Nothing is guaranteed … sometimes players get injured and are ruled out of a tournament or an entire series. One has to be prepared to play without whoever that individual is. Eventually it is about the team, not about individuals.”
