India to put across concerns of Global South at G20: Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated here on Tuesday that India would like to leverage its G20 leadership to urge the powerful group to concentrate on its mandate of global growth and development.
Speaking to members of the Parliamentary Forum on Indian Affairs in Uganda, he asserted that India’s G20 leadership is unique in that no previous chair has attempted to consult all of the Global South nations.
Under its presidency of the powerful group, India will endeavour to include the issues of the Global South in the G20 framework.
