The Union Health Ministry said in an update on Monday, with 159 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, a decline in coronavirus infections in India, bringing the active caseload down to 3,193.

However, the elderly or those with underlying health conditions are at risk of contracting the virus. Hence, doctors recommend completing the vaccine schedule and adhering to Covid-appropriate behavior.
