India and UAE signed CEPA to grant duty-free access to 90% of their exports

India and the UAE have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to promote duty-free access to 90% of exports. The “SAIF ZONE 2023” business meet is scheduled for September 18-19, 2023, in Siliguri, West Bengal, to enhance economic cooperation and collaboration between the two countries. The event will focus on sectors such as electronics, IT, precious stones, healthcare, mining, metals, FMCG, fabrics and textiles.

The Sharjah, UAE government officials will meet with Indian companies to support business expansion in the country and discuss the benefits the UAE government and freezone offer. The event aims to strengthen business ties between India and UAE, facilitating service negotiations and joint ventures. The delegation will extend support to Indian companies exploring new commercial avenues. Policy-based discussions with industrial experts will be held to promote Indian business ventures in UAE. Indian businessmen will focus on refining business strategies to establish concrete industry relations with the UAE.

“SAIF ZONE 2023” is a free zone initiative aiming to strengthen the Indian-UAE relationship by exporting goods to Gulf Cooperation Council countries. It focuses on 100% repartition on capital goods and profits, covering sectors like manufacturing, gemstones, healthcare, electronics, and IT. The initiative encourages interactions between Indian exporters for joint ventures.
