Brisbane: The final match of four match series ended ahead of schedule for rain on the fourth day in Brisbane. India need more 324 runs to win on the fifth day with 10 wickets still in hand.
Australia scored 369 in the first innings of the fourth Test at Brisbane. In reply India scored 338 before bowled out. After that, Australia’s fight ended with 294 runs in the second innings. Mohammad Siraj (5/73) took five wickets for the first time in the Test. Shardul took four wickets (4/61). Marcus Harris (36), David Warner (48), Steve Smith (55) and Cameron Green (36) kept the scoreboard moving. Marnus Labusane (25), Tim Payne (26) and Pat Cummins (26 not out) also scored runs. Australia’s second innings ended with 294 runs with a lead of 326 runs.
On fourth day India got a chance to play only 11 balls. Rohit Sharma scored 4 runs off 6 balls. Shubhaman Gill yet to score a run after playing five balls. The game was stopped due to rain at India 4-0.
