Recently Mayor Gautam Deb convened a meeting to discuss the upcoming Durga Puja Carnival in Siliguri. Reportedly, a total of 13 clubs will actually participate in the event this year. During the meeting, officials discussed the routes for the carnival procession and scheduled the participation times for each club. As per the details received, the participating clubs will be awarded cash prizes. Actually the first-place will receive ₹75,000, the second-place club ₹60,000, and the third-place club ₹50,000. In fact all other participating clubs will receive ₹15,000 each.
On October 27, a Vijay Sammelan will be held to honor various clubs with awards. Actually the prizes for this event include ₹35,000 for the first prize, ₹25,000 for the second, ₹20,000 for the third, ₹15,000 for the fourth, and ₹10,000 for the fifth place, along with certificates and mementos. This is very interesting news and people are actually feeling very excited to celebrate this Durga Puja to enjoy full.
