The original FIFA World Cup Trophy will return to India after 12 years as part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Trophy will be showcased in New Delhi and Guwahati from January 10–13, 2026, giving fans a rare opportunity to see football’s most iconic prize. The tour marks the 20th anniversary of the global Trophy Tour and comes as FIFA gears up for its biggest-ever World Cup across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Trophy will land in New Delhi on January 10 with a ceremonial FIFA Charter Landing, followed by an exclusive viewing at NSIC Grounds on January 11. It will then travel to Guwahati for the FIFA World Cup Trophy Exhibition, coinciding with Magh Bihu festivities. Engagement zones, freestyle football sessions, and food experiences will also be part of the celebrations. Coca-Cola India will integrate its #MaidaanSaaf initiative to promote responsible waste management at event venues.
In Kolkata, one of India’s most passionate football markets, the announcement has stirred strong enthusiasm among fans and beverage retailers alike. Distributors expect heightened brand activation and consumer engagement around the tour, reflecting the city’s deep football culture and longstanding affinity for global tournaments. Coca-Cola, a FIFA partner since 1976, said the tour celebrates football’s emotional connection with fans worldwide. The Trophy, made of solid gold, remains under FIFA’s ownership and can only be touched by select dignitaries and former champions.
