Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) is set to celebrate its 33rd foundation day on September 1, 2026.
The occasion will be celebrated in a day-long programme, marking an important milestone in the institute’s journey.
As part of the celebrations, an Open House will be held. It will provide students from schools and colleges in the local community an opportunity to visit the institute and gain first hand exposure to its academic, research and infrastructural facilities.
Visitors will be facilitated to explore laboratories, state of the art facilities, the Institute Library, sports infrastructure and other important facilities.
The programme will also feature the unveiling of a documentary showcasing the journey of IIT Guwahati.
Former directors, distinguished guests and alumni of the Institute are expected to join the celebrations.
