IIM Trichy wins Godrej DEI Lab’s India included on campus case study challenge

Godrej DEI Lab, the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative of the Godrej Industries Group, concluded its national India Included on Campus Case Study Challenge with IIM Trichy emerging as the winner for their innovative case study on Godrej Agrovet. The competition aimed to engage top B-school students across India in developing actionable solutions to corporate DEI challenges, particularly focusing on women’s retention and attrition in the workforce.

The finale, held at Godrej One in Mumbai, featured four finalist teams from IIM Trichy, SIBM Pune, IIM Mumbai, and IIM Lucknow presenting strategies to strengthen inclusion. IIM Trichy’s Team Do and DEI conducted surveys, competitor benchmarking, and employee interviews to develop video-based initiatives linking gender inclusivity with tangible business outcomes in the agri-sector. The team—Mutayyib M Khan, Visvanathan A, Mahima Suresh, and Ishwarya Sree—received a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 and mentorship opportunities from Godrej leaders.

Parmesh Shahani, Head of Godrej DEI Lab, emphasized that “inclusion is not just a moral commitment, but a strategic enabler of innovation and sustainable growth.” In Guwahati, initiatives like these can inspire regional corporates and startups to adopt gender-inclusive practices, particularly in the agricultural and retail sectors, fostering wider participation of women in leadership and operational roles. With this challenge, Godrej DEI Lab reinforces its commitment to cultivating inclusive leadership and building equitable workplace ecosystems across India.
