Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi emerged as the champions of Cummins India’s prestigious annual B-school case study competition, REDEFINE 2025, while Indian School of Business, Mohali secured the runner-up position. Team Crow from IIM Ranchi not only won the main trophy and cash prize but also triumphed in the social media contest for their engaging LinkedIn video. The competition, held under the theme “From Backup to Backbone: Driving the Energy Shift,” attracted participation from 6,453 students across 2,151 teams from 19 premier B-schools nationwide. After multiple competitive rounds, six finalist teams advanced to the grand finale at Cummins India Office Campus in Pune. The two-day finale included leadership sessions, networking opportunities, and guided tours of the Cummins Technical Center India and Kothrud Engine Plant, culminating in jury evaluations and live employee voting.
A distinguished panel of Cummins leaders, including Srinivasa Raghavan, Jameson Mendonca, and Sachin Simant, praised the participants for their innovative yet practical solutions addressing real-world energy challenges. In Kolkata, the competition’s impact resonates with the city’s rapidly evolving business ecosystem, where students and young professionals actively engage in sustainability and energy innovation initiatives.
