ICICI Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of ICICI Bank, has made strides in healthcare support for India’s northeastern states, benefiting over 9,100 patients since 2023. By delivering essential medical infrastructure and equipment, the foundation aims to improve healthcare quality and accessibility across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
Focusing on critical areas such as tuberculosis (TB) treatment, cancer care, and dialysis services, ICICI Foundation has supplied over 60 medical devices, including video bronchoscopes, ultrasound machines, dialysis units, and endoscopes. The foundation has also provided blood collection vehicles, mobile medical units, and ambulances to enhance healthcare outreach in remote regions.
In Assam, the foundation installed 25 dialysis units across districts like Chirang, West Karbi Anglong, and Dima Hasao, greatly benefiting patients with kidney-related diseases by providing localized treatment options. This initiative has had a positive impact on the Guwahati market, increasing demand for medical supplies and boosting local healthcare services. Guwahati’s growing medical sector has also seen improvements in service capacity, positioning the city as a healthcare hub for nearby regions. ICICI Foundation’s contributions also include a mobile blood collection unit for Nagaland, boosting blood donation drives and benefiting over 500 patients. Additionally, advanced TB care support in Meghalaya has led to more accurate diagnoses and lower mortality rates, underscoring ICICI Foundation’s commitment to enhancing health outcomes in the Northeast.
