ICH NEXT on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with Peclers Paris to launch an India-first, global-meets-local trend intelligence service aimed at addressing a $2-billion-plus white space in the country’s fashion and lifestyle ecosystem. The collaboration introduces the ICH NEXT x Peclers Paris Trend Forecast Reports, beginning with western fashion categories. India’s fashion and lifestyle market is projected to cross $240 billion, growing at over 10% annually, but the industry continues to depend largely on global trend reports with limited relevance to local culture, climate, body types, and consumption cycles. The new alliance combines Peclers Paris’ global foresight with ICH NEXT’s India-rooted research to deliver context-specific insights for brands operating in the country.
ICH NEXT co-founders Anuradha Chandrasekhar and Kanika Vohra said India requires original, localised forecasting rather than translated Western trends, noting that festival-led demand, extended summers and cultural meanings significantly shape adoption patterns. Peclers Paris CEO Anne Etienne-Reboul described India as one of the world’s most influential consumer markets, requiring a fundamentally different forecasting lens.
Launched in 2022, ICH NEXT currently works with over 100 brands and uses its proprietary ICHNEXTLABS.ai engine to analyse thousands of cultural and macro signals monthly. The company expects to close the financial year with $0.4 million in revenue and plans to double turnover next year. For brands and retailers in Kolkata, the India-first intelligence is expected to be particularly relevant, given the city’s strong mix of tradition-driven consumption and evolving western fashion demand. Local designers and organised retailers are increasingly seeking sharper insights into colour, silhouette and pricing suited to eastern India’s climate and festive calendar, making research-led, region-aware forecasting a potential driver of improved sell-through and faster design cycles.
