IBM and the Ministry of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in India have signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) to provide curated courses for youth with future-ready skills.
The collaboration will focus on curriculum co-creation and access to IBM’s learning platform IBM Skills Build, focusing on emerging technologies like AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and professional development skills across school, higher education, and vocational education.
IBM is partnering with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Skill Development (MSDE) to equip learners at school, higher education, and vocational levels with digital skills. The partnership aims to develop a skilled talent ecosystem in India, focusing on emerging technologies like generative AI, cybersecurity, and workplace skills to address the skills gap in the workforce. Speaking at the event, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “This collaboration marks a significant stride toward our vision of a ‘Skilled India’ and in scaling up digital skills training and skill building in emerging technologies using IBM Skills Build platform.”
