HPCL ensures steady fuel & LPG supply; cracks down on malpractices nationwide

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Sunday said it continues to maintain uninterrupted supply of fuel and LPG across the country, backed by strong operational efficiency and strict enforcement measures. On April 4, 2026, HPCL recorded sales of 38,986 KL (over 3.8 crorelitres) of petrol and 69,357 KL (over 6.9 crorelitres) of diesel, serving more than 1.94 crore customers nationwide. To ensure seamless distribution, the company dispatched 9,951 fuel tankers to retail outlets across regions. In the LPG segment, HPCL delivered 14.4 lakh cylinders, maintaining normal supply levels. It also supplied 31,786 units of 5 kg and 2,383 units of 2 kg free trade LPG cylinders. The company reaffirmed that domestic LPG availability remains stable despite global geopolitical developments.

HPCL has also intensified action against malpractices. Between March 14 and April 4, over 4,028 inspections were conducted, leading to action against 53 distributors, including suspension of 20 distributorships. Authorities also carried out around 653 raids, registered 40 FIRs, and seized more than 3,163 cylinders. In Guwahati, fuel and LPG supply has remained stable with no reports of shortages. Dealers confirmed timely deliveries and normal consumer demand, while digital booking platforms continue to see high usage, ensuring smooth and transparent distribution.

HPCL urged customers to rely on official communication, avoid panic booking, and use digital channels for efficient service access.
