Renowned local institutions such as Don Bosco School, Oxford High School, Chandanapara Children’s Academy, and The Holy Child also took part. Mahabir Singh, Founder Director of the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), highlighted the organization’s 27 years of fostering academic excellence through eight Olympiad exams covering subjects from science to commerce.

Howrah reflects growing enthusiasm for these competitive academic events, with parents and educators emphasizing the importance of such platforms in identifying student strengths and encouraging global-level competition. Local coaching centers have reported a surge in enrollments, underscoring the city’s commitment to nurturing young talent. Besides Olympiads, SOF runs several social initiatives, including scholarships for meritorious girls from economically weaker backgrounds and support for defense service families, along with academic camps and training programs aimed at holistic student development.
