Howrah secured top ranks in the SOF Olympiad exam

Three Howrah students have achieved top ranks in the SOF Olympiad exam for 2023-24. SubhagyaDalui, a first grade student from St. Xavier’s Public School, achieved the first rank in the International General knowledge Olympiad, earning an international gold medal and a merit certificate. SuvroneelMurmu, a first grade student from Don Bosco School, claimed the second rank in the International General Knowledge Olympiad, receiving an international silver medal and a merit certificate. Bibhu Das, a first grade student from St. Xavier’s Public School, claimed the third rank in the International General Knowledge Olympiad, receiving an international bronze medal and a merit certificate.

Distinguished guests included former Chief Justice of India, Justice DipakMisra, and renowned author and screenwriter ChetanBhagat. At the ceremony, former chief Justice of India, Justice DipakMisra addressed the gathering of over 700 attendees, he said, “When you talk about competition, success follows it because everyone competes to succeed. Success is the real achievement.

The Science Olympiad Foundation hosted an awards ceremony in New Delhi to honor the top three worldwide rank holders from grade 1 to 12 who participated in seven different Olympiad exams. The event, attended by millions of students from 70 countries, included notable schools from Howrah, including Heritage Academy High School, Ideal Public School, and Asian International School.
