Re-emphasizing the need to build a culture of safe riding habits in India, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) took forward its National Road Safety Awareness Campaignin Nalbari, Assam. Road Safety is a global priority for Honda. Through this two-days camp at Nalbari College, Assam, HMSI spreads awareness on safe riding practices to more than 1800 college students and staff members. HMSI instructors utilized age-appropriate learning programs to improve road safety awareness retention among all.
HMSI’s National Road Safety Awareness program utilizes a scientific learning module, featuring skilled instructors teaching road signs, driver duties, riding gear, posture, and safe riding etiquette. A virtual riding simulator simulates over 100 dangers, while Kiken Yosoku Training enhances sensitivity to danger.
Existing riders test and improve their skills through slow riding activities and narrow planks. Honda also conducts daily educational activities, including road safety games and quizzes, to educate young students about road safety. Speaking on HMSI’s commitment towards building a collision-free India, Mr. Vinay Dhingra – Senior Director, HR, Admin, IT & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “To promote this mindset, HMSI has taken the initiative to launch an extensive nationwide road safety awareness campaign.”
