Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the extension of services for four pairs of Holi special trains from February to March 2026 to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the festive season. The trains include 07046/07047 (Secunderabad – Naharlagun), operating an additional trip in each direction, and 03129/03130 (Kolkata Terminal – New Jalpaiguri), also with one additional trip in both directions. Additionally, train numbers 09189/09190 (Mumbai Central – Katihar) will see six extra trips each way, and the weekly trains 04614/04613 (Amritsar – Katihar) will operate three additional trips in both directions. The services will maintain their existing schedules, timings, compositions, and stoppages. Notably, train 07046 (Secunderabad – Naharlagun) will run on February 27 for the outward journey, while the return train 07047 will operate on March 2. Train 03129 (Kolkata Terminal – New Jalpaiguri) is extended to February 28, with the return train operating on March 1. Train 09189 (Mumbai Central–Katihar) will run every Saturday until March 28, 2026, while the return train 09190 will operate every Tuesday from February 24 until March 31, 2026. Moreover, train 04614 (Amritsar – Katihar) will operate every Wednesday from February 25 to March 5, 2026, and 04613 (Katihar-Amritsar) will run on Fridays from February 27 to March 7, 2026. An NFR official noted that these extensions will assist waitlisted passengers and enhance connectivity between the Northeast, Eastern, and Northern regions, thereby promoting regional integration and development.
